Academician Vasko Tashkovski was born in 1937 in the village of Nizhopole, Bitola. In addition to oil painting, he also worked watercolour, drawings and graphics and also dealt with custom-made scenography for theatre, TV and film projects, as well as scenography for various events. Academician Vasko Tashkovski graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1964. He has delivered 50 solo exhibitions and participated in several group and thematic exhibitions in Macedonia. He has received 17 awards and recognitions. Eight television films have been made about his work.
