AWARDS
For all achievements in sports and journalism he has received several awards and recognitions: Sports Journalist of the Year, Best Sports Worker in 2008 and Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, awarded by the Sports Union of Skopje. These include the Silver Plaque from the former Athletic Union of Yugoslavia, as well as FILA and EABA medals. He is also a winner of the state award “8 Septemvri” and the award of the City of Skopje, “13 Noemvri”.
In 2019 he was awarded with the journalism award by the Association of Sports Journalists of Southeast Europe.
At the London Athletics World Championship (2017), Mihajlov was one of the 50 most prominent athletic journalists and commentators in the world, receiving the AIPS (World Association of Sports Journalists) Award for Highly Professional Information, as well as popularization of athletic sport.
