Female Chamber Choir RUSTIKO – 70 years, Risto Avramovski

In the Ceremonial Hall of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), the Women’s Choir RUSTIKO performed the jubilee concert on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of Academician Risto Avramovski, our eminent composer and great friend and collaborator of the conductor Zapro Zaprov and the Choir Studio RUSTIKO. From the mutual cooperation between the composer Risto Avramovski and the Women’s Choir RUSTIKO, the Macedonian and world music literature has been enriched by a dozen of A-Capella and vocal-instrumental works worth a masterpiece.
At that ceremony, for the life and work of Academician Risto Avramovski, two essays by the Academician Vlado Matevski and prof. Zapro Zaprov were presented, and the musical work ETNOGRAFOFONIJA – a complex musical drama of 12 paragraphs, for women’s choir, solo-tenor, solo-soprano, solo-alto, special – non-classical instrumentation and costume design were performed.
Based on the music material of the music drama “ETNOGRAFOFONIJA”, in collaboration with several authors: the author Avramovski, the scriptwriter Blazhe Minovski, the director Vlado Cvetanovski, the costume designer Elena Donchevska, the set designer Vladimir Georgievski, the conductor Zapro Zaprov, the Children’s Choir “Razvigorche”, the Women’s Youth Choir of MKC, the female part of the MTV Choir, the solo tenor Blagoj Nikolovski and numerous eminent actors and ballet artists from Macedonia, created a multimedia project entitled BLACK LETTER (CRNO PISMO) with which the International Festival OHRID SUMMER on the Samuil’s Fortress in Ohrid was opened in 1993.
