Women’s Chamber Choir SAINT ZLATA MEGLENSKA & AMERICAN UNIVERSITY CHAMBER SINGERS

From the POEM for the CHOIR…

“St. Zlata Meglenska Choir in the past many years
Spread the sacred and profane singing of Macedonia throughout all meridians
It sang to St. Cyril in Rome and to St. Methodius in Germany
Proclaimed as protectors of Europe by the Pope
It sang in the Parisian cathedrals and the Venetian La Fenice
From Barcelona to the churches of the Seventh Saints in Moravia
Between Porto and Cambridge, Canada and Australia
Since in its concerts
The voice of the Saint of Meglen is resurrected
And the epochs are connected
Since we are here at the crossroads of universal love
Our Zhivko Chingo once wrote:
“Macedonia is a small country, one can tie it in a piece of cloth”
Cervantes in Don Quixote said:
“El Mundo es un panuelo” – “The world is a handkerchief”.
And only the song has the power to unravel the mystery
Of the world that we all carry in us, but it will not end with us
Therefore:
Receive a Megalynarion, Jesus Christ, on the day of your birth
Uprooted from my heart
Many happy returns of the day!
Forever and ever
from Zlata Meglenska
Who’s love for You makes her sacred.
