Tosevski’s POMEGJU (IN BETWEEN) project can be considered in terms of emphasizing the importance of complex relationships and the interdependence of past values and their role in modernity. This project opens the opportunity to be seen through the prism of current issues that arise through its genesis, more specifically from 2012 onwards, but also through a reflection on the dominant practices and strategies used by Toshevski, especially since the mid-1990s. Building his installation by selecting works from the collection of the National Gallery of Macedonia, Toshevki at the same time distanced himself from them to open up a space for contemplation, blocking his own presence, with a gesture defined by temporarily joining in the constellation of the exhibition, emphasizing the impossibility to be permanently incorporated into the collection.
