The works of the exhibition were given by private individuals and institutions such as the Parliament of Macedonia, NBRM, City of Skopje, Anton Panov Cultural Centre in Strumica, SV Erasmus Special Hospital for Orthopaedics and Traumatology and the Institute and Museum in Ohrid, as well as by Museums of Naïve Art from Zagreb and Jagodina. The retrospective exhibition and the monographic edition are part of the programme activities of the National Gallery of Macedonia for 2016, in accordance with the mission of representative celebration of artists represented in the permanent exhibition and the Macedonian fine art collection of this national institution. At this stage the project encompasses works located in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and a significant number of works present on the former Yugoslavia’s soil.
