…Adventures can be dangerous, some of them even too expensive, but I can freely say that every adventure is worth it! Regardless of the price, every new experience is a treasure that will warm you in lonely and cold moments… and in order to be warm in cold moments, while I was in Rio I decided to take the opportunity and paraglide from the most beautiful place for that activity in the world PEDRA BONITA.
How to get to PEDRA BONITA
First, how to get to the most beautiful flying place in the world. You should, of course, be in Rio de Janeiro? If you arrive by boat, Pedra Bonita hill is located 30 km from the main port, if you are staying in a hotel in the city, the information that PEDRA BONITA is about 15 km from COPACABANA would be useful for you.
You can take the bus number 2115, the ride will take 60 minutes but you will pay only 60 denars. You would arrive faster if you travel by metro (line 4), so you need to transfer to bus number 2333 or 2337, you will arrive in 30 minutes and it will cost you about 120 denars. Or you can take a taxi, which from the centre to Pedra Bonita is about 700 to 1000 denars, depending on the traffic and the cunning of the taxi driver?
Flying with a PARAGLIDER
The price for paragliding is between 500 and 550 Brazilian Real, we had a Brazilian with us and we got the price 500 Real, which is a little over 7500 denars. You can come without prior reservation and they will almost certainly make room for you to fly but you will have to wait. I have no words to describe this incredible adrenaline rush and I’m honestly not sure if I was more impressed with paragliding or the beautiful, breath-taking scenery, but I’m sure this day will remain as special in my memory. And in order to better remember all the moments, the organizers themselves, for an additional 750 denars, took care of that by making 100 photos and great videos right on the spot…
